Congratulations. Now you can start preparing your back seat for the car seat

I'm in the head-scratching camp on why some people automatically think they have to get a different car. Is this some kind of social pressure to prove you're a parent? Put the car seat in the back, like you're supposed to, and use the rest of the car space for diaper bag/stroller. It still has 4 seats and a trunk, nothing has changed, it's still very practical.
Bc in some instances while it still can be done it can also still be a real pain in the ass. I remember the wife and I taking my niece out for the day in my Focus. With all her shit and the wife having to scoot her seat all the way up to fit the car seat I couldn't imagine doing that everyday in a coupe lol.

My first year was pretty good with the infant carrier. We even took the Camaro on a road trip. Enjoy being a dad!

However, the rear facing child seat was a bit tougher. It forced me to trade in my old truck for a new one...

camaro is my daily .. and with a infant it might not be the best idea to keep the camaro unless i can afford 2 car payments lol and all the diaper bills lol.

lol congrats dude!

I kept my red Camaro in my signature for 2 years once I had my first born, back then it was my daily driver and after a year I kind of came to the conclusion that I needed a truck!

Fast forward 5years I just bought a 1LE and kept my truck didn't even ask the wife for permission lol.

Some guys have it easier than others, my wife hates the Camaro but my kids love it so I win!!!

I know its off topic but totally thought she would make me sell it...
Honestly dude. The fact that she had to give you permission is kind of sad honestly. Who pays the car note? I'm sure you do. You don't need her permission at all. I get having a kid and blah blah blah, but that doesn't have anything to do with your Camaro.

I buy $100k cars every year. Every year. I just come home with them without my fiance knowing. Know what she says? Fkn badass!!!!!!!!!! She never mentions anything about the business, our kids, the mortgage, nothing. Want to know why? It's cus I run the show around here.

Anyhow, congrats on the baby. A new journey begins. I'd keep an eye on your woman tho. Sounds like you've given her too much leash.

Congrats on two counts...a new child in the family and a great wife. I guess there are some "cavemen" who don't care what the little lady likes or wants, but in 40+ years of marriage, I've found a compromising couple pretty much stays together...happily.

Was just joshing around. Just my humor. It's a great story. Kid's gonna love the Camaro. When my son was around 3 was the time I had my Zl1. Or, he was around 5 or 6. Shoot, time flies. He was always like, Dad, go faster. Then, I'd get it up around 130 and say son, that was 130 mph. He went through a year or two after that where he was scare, but now he's 11 and we rip 160 mph runs in my Z06 on a regular. He loves it. Congrats tho, for real. I was just messing around.

You'll just have to pick out a nice car seat for the roomy backseat! Congrats!

so your going to trade it on something like an SUV(yuck) and take a loss when the car youre driving seats 2 adults and two children? i dont see the logic in this.when my kids were little we had a 67 mustang and a 66 pontiac tempest 2 door hotrod.15 years later my kids learned to drive on those antique cars with drum brakes and no airbags.compared to them the camaro is a really practical daily driver, right?
