Question Burnouts with the A8?

Hello,

Sorry for the dumb question but... how do you do burnouts with the A8?

I´ve tried this:

- Sport mode

- Manual and 1st gear

- Nannies OFF

- Left foot on brake

- Right foot WOT!

But the car starts to move... yeah, lot of slip while moving but not a burnout

Thank you!

The A8 will roast them, I assure you. Doing what you stated, just as the vehicle starts to move, ease off the brake slightly while keeping in the gas....You'll start smokin' pretty quickly! Hold on the wheel and then let off the brake entirely and keep it straight!

You're probably holding too much brake over the throttle... Your front brakes have more clamping than rear due to bias, so you only need just as much pedal as it takes to hold the car in place. You will still be heating up the rears during a burn out, but you're talking about heat the same as hard stop from highway speeds or most of us on a road course. You have to modulate the throttle and brake to keep it from rolling too much and catching.

I have the A8 and I have the opposite problem lol. I struggle not doing a burnout while leaving in 1st gear. Now sure what you are doing wrong here.

Maybe you did this, but just in case not, if you just click the traction control once you turn off traction control but you need to have the foot on the break and hold the traction control down for 10 seconds to turn both the traction control and stabilitrak.

Probably this is the cause: I hold the brake in the same way is needed to activate the launch control... I will try to be more gentle

Yes, I do it, thank you!

Tip to win: heat the wheels before the drag...
