I wonder how many drinks it took before it was decided that some retarded "Exorcist" graphics on the side of the car where a selling a point. I mean seriously, you'll already look like a tool running their badges and then they go and do this. Like we have some inferiority complex. I'm willing to bet that 99% of the cars you'll go against on the strip will be custom built cars.

This is exactly what this is! Despite all of the guys on here that know what's wrong with Hennessey and just-fully don't want to do business with him there are TONS of people that think Hennessey is the best shop in the country and they will fork out the cash for this thing, and putting that "Exorsist" badge on it instead of the HPE1000 will sell more units thanks to the hype of the Demon.

From Fox News/Auto:
The price for the conversion is $55,000 on top of the ZL1’s $63,435 sticker, with an extra $9,950 needed to bring the automatic transmission up to snuff, while an $8,995 drag package adds a beefed-up drive shaft, a set of drag radials and the tools to change them with. That's a total of a little OVER $137K. WOW!

Hennessey's marketing is always on point for the suckers with money, and usually poor execution with lead times and delivery with customer cars. It still surprises me every time I see people complain about Hennessey, like did you not do your research on the company before you sent your 75K+ car to him for work to be done? You would think by now, Hennessey would actually get his act together and put out a good product with a whole lot better customer service.

Whats annoying is they don't mention is it Crank or RWHP? Id assume crank
Just read from Hennessey its crank Says they install a bigger blower...OK so an off the shelf Magnuson HB or Whipple Other mods: Headers, cam, and ported heads. Same thing GM shops have been doing around the country, oh a tune of course 55k package and stock bottom end.......Good Job Hennessey |

Most luxury items for the affluent sell based off their brand name alone. I have absolutely no problem with that business model.
The problem arises when you pay a premium for a product/service and what you receive isn't commiserate with what you paid, which seems to be the case for a higher than normal percentage of their customers. There's a lot of money overseas in the middle east, and if you keep reading about Hennessy in multiple car mags, you're likely to assume they're the cream of the crop. And if $125k+ don't mean diddly poo to ya, that's where you're gonna send your car. Marketed correctly, you can build a pretty successful shop by focusing heavily on the UAE. Granted Hennessy gets tons of free marketing (no idea why), but kudos to them for trying to capitalize of that marketing with this exorcist gimmick. |

Not a ZL1, but If you have the money what about the Fireball 900 Camaro, it runs mid 9's and is sold at some dealerships.

I agree with you 100% If people pay that is their choice My issue is for 55k on top of your car, they aren't doing anything unique outside of custom badges You take 55k to Vengeance for your zl1 and it'll make 1000whp on 87 octane lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
