From what I can see from the options matrix is is based on: 1LS, 1LT, 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1. I am trying to figure out how the possibilities work. For audio there is: IOB - 7" mylink IO5 - 8" mylink (no nav) IO6 - 8" mylink with nav UQ3 - 6-speaker system UQA - Bose add-on (which I think requires IO5 or IO6), 9-speaker system (in coupe) I think with IO5 and IO6 the default is the 6-speaker system with the amp with perpendicular fins and 3 plugs. This amp receives line level inputs. Does the 7" mylink (IOB) have its own amp? If you add UQA you get the Bose amp with diagonal fins and 4 plugs. This amp receives MOST digital audio input. The NKC (Active Noise Cancellation) is mentioned on some of the wiring diagrams people have obtained and I'm not sure what exactly decides the configurations that get that. Check this out:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...19&postcount=1 A 1SS with the 1LE pkg and the UQ3 6 speaker system. A1Y is the code for the 1LE package on the 1SS. I believe UQ3 means you get the amp with the 3 plugs and perpendicular cooling fins. |

If you get a 1LT/1LS the standard audio config is: IOB - 7" mylink UQ3 - 6 speaker system So, it seems 6 speaker is the lowest it goes, although someone had mentioned a possible 4-speaker system. I would think UQ3 means you get the amp, as there is no code for something like UQ3 plus upgraded (non-Bose) amp. It's either: UQ3 - 6 speaker or UQA - Bose 9-speaker Maybe 7" mylink has a built-in amp, and IOB+UQ3 means you get 6-speakers powered off that internal amp??? |

all i know is i went through diagrams with the guy in the chevy parts department and he confirmed that my VIN does not have an amp at all. if they somehow hid one, the only place it could be must be back 2000 miles on the road

But as long as you are able to get good results from splicing in, who cares at this point.

This link shows the back of an IOB 7" mylink head unit (page 3):
http://www.brandmotion.com/docs/9002-2765II1.pdf Gray and a brown plug. Pin-outs would help. Some fins on the back of the head unit, so maybe there is an amp in there? If one of those harnesses goes to speakers maybe the wire colors stay the same. AND I found this link which confirms the mylink offered in the 2013 traverse powered 6 speakers directly: http://www.traverseforum.com/index.php?topic=12210.0 So, my question to the OP is, "Do you have a 7" MyLink head unit?" No. The SS 1LE has the 8" MyLink w/PDR w/o Nav, 6-speakers.

Does the 1LE have ANC like the 1SS/2SS cars? If so, then it has to have an amp to function from everything we have seen from the SS and turbo4 cars with Bose.

No idea. How would one verify whether ANC is equipped?

I looked through the OP's posts. I don't see where he states his 1le is a V6 or V8 car.
Are you saying your V8 1LE has no amp in the trunk? Look at the X3 plug. See if it has microphone wires. See this post. Bose amp in a V6 car, X3 gets no microphone wires: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showpo...4&postcount=59 Last edited by ctrlz; 04-05-2017 at 05:06 PM. |

It plugs into an amp i don't see in your picture! I think there must be an amp somewhere else in the 1LE then. From what I can find the 8" MyLink units can't drive speakers directly. The 7" has the internal amp.
