Flex fuel Kit Question
Sorry to ask this question but I can't seem to find the answer through search. Is it ok to completely install the flex fuel kit and drive the car without tuning it first? I don't plan on running e85 yet. I am waiting to get my headers installed before I perform the tune. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

After some more searching I found a response from Tim about being able to hook it up without tuning. Thanks for the responses.

The ECM doesn't look for the sensor until it is tuned. Installing it pre tune is fine.
DON'T drop the retainers! LOL You know who you all are.

The retainers for the fuel lines are screw on instead of clamp on like the originals.
Got to be careful. Can be a bit tricky to get the threads started. If they are not and one lets go to grab a wrench etc they can pop off. I had one pop off in the same manner but luckily I didn't lose it. Im guessing that's what they talkin about |

The fittings that connect to the stock hard lines have screw in retainers. It is possible to drop the retainers and lose them into the black hole of the engine compartment. You absolutely do not want to run without the retainers installed as the fittings will likely come off the lines.
Sometimes I have some extra retainers on hand. Sometimes I don't and you will have to buy a new fitting just to get the retainer. The retainers also are not identical. The retainer for the Racetronix has a slot in it to slide over the ride in the hardline. The other will sit behind the ridge. Tim |

I just installed mine, it's easier to understand it once you physically have it.
Finding plug 38 and inserting the wire correctly seemed to be the most challenging of the install. The pic pointing out which plug it was saved a ton of time.

Do you have a install guide somewhere, it looks pretty simple to install.
