That's awesome and right on par for what GM was claiming.

Well, that is a little disappointing if the TM is so bad compared to the Z06.

Man for the very few passes these A10's have made they've been kinda consistent low 11's.

10's are a ways off, I figured it would run 10's with drag radials as it has as much hp as mine and I ran 10.80s with slicks and skinnies with a Maggie. However I know you'll get the with a little tuning and lighter wheels and tires. That 10 speed is really killer going down the track.

One hour of cool down is plenty of time. Looks like weather was really good too, DA was '1000-'1100. Can't ask for too much better than that.

.07-.08 gains from drag radials would be disappointing, but another way of looking at it would be that they look pretty much unnecessary on a stock car due to the tune. I'm really doubting we'll see a 10.9xx run stock.

I was sure with drag radials 10's would also be possible but now I agree with you its gonna be tough to make it happen. There have been plenty of dyno runs that would seem to show enough hp/torque to achieve 10's with DR's. Maybe the smaller 1700 supercharger just can't get it done. Now that's not saying there won't be a freak car come out of gm that it will just happen right off the bat with drag radials or slicks. I hope it does and if not there will be a bunch of disappointed A10 owners, I'd say the drag racing crowd that thought the M6 was gonna be the ticket have now realized that they can't even get into the 11's. A few have but most are stuck in the low 12's.

Does anyone know if there was any Torque Management on the 5th gen auto ZL1s?

The "Launch Control" feature itself was horrible. This might be more useful on the street or non prepped surface, but at the track it slowed the car down and cost quite a bit in the 60ft. I tried 5%-15% slip and up to 2400rpm with no success.
Nice baseline and thanks for this info. I'll be on the track Friday working on some of these combos. Hope to see you guys at CamaroFest in July with something really fast.

Yes, but most (not all) could be turned off when using DR's. I tried that with this one and it bogs down on launch. Hope to try out a few different combos in a few days.

Both passes with drag radials were made within 3 minutes... 2:12 and 2:15 as seem on the time stamp on the time slip. Also DA was 1800-2000ft. I had our weather station with us at the track.

There is absolutely nothing disappointing about this ZL1. Yes, there is torque management that keeps the car from leaving as hard as it could, but that is nothing that cannot be addressed with the push of a button.

Yup... I can see 10's after some more miles and mine shaft air.

Not sure about 10s stock. 11.1-2s tops. More than likely the car has way too much torque management due to the short gear ratios of the first few gears to let it leave that hard. So sure you can tune some of that stuff out but is it still considered stock? Not to me.

A8 Z06s have done as low as 10.41 bone stock on their stock Michelins with most sitting around the 10.8 mark. Manuals with a CAI can get into the tens. What this tells me is that there's no way that a car with the same HP (And we've been seeing STRONGER baselines in the ZL1s than the Z06s) and only 300-400 more pounds is losing nearly a second even with drag radials + A10 vs PSS and A8. Must be how the cars are setup.

Hellcats can run 10s stock. Come on GM, don't let us be slower than even the LAST generation muscle cars.
