Stage 1 began this weekend
Stage 1 is build out to prepare for a supercharger of some kind soon after:
VR Stage 2 cam, valve springs, pushrods, VR forged pistons, Comp lifters, Comp trunion upgrade, ARP head studs, AR 1 7/8 headers no cats, E85 conversion, LT4 Pump and injectors, fancy valve covers and coil relocation with Moroso wires. More photos when she's all done. |

Finally got my missing exhaust pieces and got the car on the dyno. Remember this is with a stock air box and filter, plus the forged pistons result in a little heavier rotating assembly.
Here is the graph breakdown: Baseline --- 391/414 Cam + Headers (no cats) + pump gas --- 432/424 Cam + Headers (no cats) + E85 --- 458/442 Cam + Headers (no cats) + E85 + stock air box opened without filter --- 471/450 There were lots of changes made to the car and it sits at 4,000 miles now on the odometer. Most of the changes were to make things stronger for forced induction such as trunions, pistons, LT4 injectors and pump. So most of the expense did not yield any change in power this round. Most were made preparing for the next round

They are trying to show you every single horsepower they can by leaving the SAE smoothing off. Either way, great build. It's going to be solid for sure! I really like the coil relocation. Is that a kit I could buy? I would like to do that to mine. Let's hear it start up and run!!!
Have you decided what type of induction you're going with? |

Really Good information on almost the closests well known Camaro 6 race shop to me. I have thought of using them when I do my cam and heads. Looks like if used similar cam, CAi, exhaust and heads with pray porting will easily get me to the 500whp mark on 93 octane.
Good luck on your build. Looks impressive and stout so far! |
