I've witnessed all kinds of crap that people wouldn't believe. I remember driving many 4th gen SS Camaros, WS6 Trans Ams, Firehawks etc. Some guys would get on them...nothing outrageous. I was gone when thev5th gen came out but still have friends that work there, and he said they always shut the traction control off to make it more fun....but again, nothing crazy, just some tire spinning. The worst stuff I saw was how the GM employees drove the vehicles out of the plant. I am never shocked when I hear about trannies puking under warranty. I also hated jumping in a car full of smoke from a freshly smoked joint.

Mine had 9 miles on it at delivery before we went to fill it with gas. One major concern i had was I was flipping through the setting and noticed the average gas milage for the first 9 miles was just over 5 mpg. Is this normal, i don't think so. my guess is some ass was out doing hard pulls with my car?

Please let me know you experiance. I may contact GM customer service and see if they can down load the ECM and determine how hard the car was driven prior to delivery. If someone beat the crap out of my car prior to deliver, there will be compensation involved.

As a side note I ordered the car, so it never sat on the showroom floor. My sales guy called and and told me the truck had just arrived and my car was being unloaded. So if someone did take it for a ride it happened in the hour or two it took me to get to the dealership.

They drive the car fairly aggressively on rollers coming out of the plant...and I'm sure there was a lot of idle time, (waiting in line to get on a truck, etc) which counts against mpg. I'd be curious to see what other cars' mpg say...but I wouldn't read too much into it.

Onstar for mine (in transit) is currently showing 3 miles and 4 MPG. I'm not concerned.
