It seems to be the trend I have seen since about 2003 lol.

Not saying it doesn't work a little.
Just saying that for every 20 people that try it, 10 maybe do it correctly, and then 1 person actually keeps the system on their car.

Usually it goes like this.
"Hey look what we made"
"Hey look at this neat dyno graph"
*Crickets*

First it was the mustang guys from 2001-2004
Then it was the Vette guys for a while
Recently it was the 2015 Mustang guys

I will say this... while it makes for "neat" dyno graphs.
(you know the ones where people say "look how much TQ it makes down low")

VERY FEW people actually end up keeping the system on.
Most realize it doesn't really add much ET at the track, and scrap the idea.

I am not being a hater by any means... but literally EVERY single person I know that has done it, just went back to a normal system with no gate.
Sounds to me like everyone eventually wants the PD torque they don't have with centrifugal, and any effort to get it eventually fails. Nonetheless centrifugal still seems at least twice as popular.

It doesn't fail at all, like I said it actually works.
BUT....

Seems people "think" that they need that power down low.
Because they look at dyno graphs.

Then they realize all they do is spin the tires more,
Run the risk of an overboost situation due to gate failure or controller
Doesn't really get any faster at the track.
And they just end up going back to the way it was.

Like I said, I have seen a "few" stick with it.
But the VAST majority end up regretting it, and just ditch the idea.
Then say something like "if I would have used that money for a meth kit, or camshaft, it would have been better spent"

centri all the way with the camaro

Not only is it generally better for a sports car to make more power up top, it's the one thing the camaro is missing.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I'd sure like to drive both back-to-back!
