What about the GM CNC ported LT1 heads that come with the hot cam kit?

for inexpensive and due to the low lift should last a long time. I actually OK with it for Joe Normal. I'd like to know what springs GM is running on the head.

Would the GM head and hot cam kit with supporting mods and tuning net 500whp? This is my next goal.

I have no information on those at this time.

there are guys there with no cam or heads....

Alls I know is a fully intended to do cam and heads this summer; but, with full bolt ons including E-85 and tune by EFI_Tuning I can't hook till like 70 something MPH. Hence the thought of a power cam.. sure it will add power, sure it will fatten up tip in, but really it is for the nasty idle at the local car shows.

Are you running factory size tires trying to hook up? I have went the supporting mods route before heads and cam. I should have my rims with 285 & 305/35/20 tires shortly. Have a hurst shifter to be install after tires and rims get here. Then going to work on bmr rear suspension. Help it hook up better. Then work on headers and intake followed by heads and cam. Although, here e85 not as much of an option so just trying to stick with 93. I am looking for the ultimate goal close to what you are trying to achieve though. Something with a little more power and a nasty sound but still able to put 200k miles on my car over a long time. Forced induction bolt on can be done easily. As I seen the edelbrock supercharger corvette over 200k miles.

I got a nice 305 setup that my brother borrowed and has yet to return so I'm on factory and at 7500 miles the rear tires are almost gone, don't know why???

Love the hurst shifter bet mod I've made

I honestly am thinking a nasty sound is all that is left via a drop in cam.

That is reassuring about the hurst shifter. I have yet to feel it but will shortly.

I got it from a forum member Liberty Hill, and he help me put in, which is a MAJOR pain and really needs a lift. That said it is the pistol grip and it is by far by far the best mod ever. I love it and sometimes run it thru the gears just cause it is so awesome.

I read when Liberty hill put his in. Did he take it out and why? I have access to a lift but at my uncles 2 hours away. I do not want to get there and start and for some reason have to leave the car on his lift and need a ride home haha. So this one I am going to sub out to my dealership. Although I got a amazing deal on the shifter so I will only pay for the labor. So it equals out in the end for me.

That's only really possible because of E85. Unfortunately, E85 isn't readily available for everyone.

Mmmm, I don't know, mine does pretty good on pump. E has only been worth .2 at the track in same weather for me. Probably more like .15 as I get the pump gas tuned in for the track.

He won one also. I'm glad he convinced me it is that good. It is not a hard job but it is much easier on a lift, it is time consuming..

I suppose I should have been more specific. When chasing the dyno, numbers such as yours are not really possible without E85--especially if a track is not available.

Sometimes, the dyno is the only bar any of us can use to measure performance increases.
