Not negating. Just expressing my distaste for judgemental sentiments based on age alone, applied generally with no exception. Which you did.

And I simply asked that you not...because it's obnoxious to the one or two people who lie outside of your generalization and just want to enjoy their cars.

Interpret it beyond that as you will...

I totally agree with your sentiment, however, there are outliers as mentioned. I know of some smart young folks who went straight into software development straight outa HS, make great money, enough to support their habits (whatever it may be; cars, gaming, hookers, etc). I've been in the industry for a while and I've seen them come and go.

As for me, I do not have a ZL1 yet, but ordering a 2018....mid 30's here.

I would certainly shake the hand of any 19 yr old who can live on his own and pay for a car that costs over 60 grand. I can guarantee you that is an extremely small group of individuals if there are any at all. NO GENERALIZATIONS made.

Impressive record! That is brand loyalty. GM should be sending you birthday cakes.

Yep, can't go wrong with GM. I've done many corvettes, cadillacs, GM trucks. All good.

I ordered a fully loaded 16 2SS ($52k) and received that a year ago. Sold it in October of 2016 for $34k. Lost damn near $20k and still turned around and picked up my built to order ZL1 a week ago with a sticker of $68K. I am 24 years old right now. I make ok money (Supervisor at a factory). up until about 3 months ago I paid all my bills except rent because I lived with my parents. I struggle to make it work but I worked hard to get it. Insurance isn't to bad at $105 a month up only $4 a month than my SS. And credit at 763. Could I have done this a 19 no way! Could others...possibly. I just will never be the old retired guy driving my dream car. I want to enjoy the technology available at a young age. Live in the moment vs. save all my life to finally own my dream car/house. Just my 2 cents.

Not judging you but if had rather put that amount in 401k/IRA you could have added to a comfortable retirement in 40 years! Your loss was far more than 20k.

Oh I'm well aware and that is my trade off for being able to buy this car young is that I spend money as I earn it and have saved next to nothing. I get a lot of crap living like this but I've had to many friends die way to young. I don't want to work my whole life to get my fancy car when I'm 65. Especially when tomorrow isn't promised.

Please be careful for your sake and the others on the road. I would have been dead within a week if someone gave me a 650HP muscle car when I was 18.

Actually I missed one it will be 35. Having worked at GM dealers for 35 years made it easy. After I ordered the ZL1 I started thinking about all the cars and pickups I have owned and started a list for the fun of it.
