Fantastic for hard cornering and would heat up quick on cold mornings, so you can drive even when it's 40F as long as you don't go bananas. I've still got plenty of life in mine. Even got caught in a crazy rain storm once and didn't hydroplane at all on the highway. They don't hook up well enough now though in lower gears at 700+rwhp and I don't drive in the rain, so I'm going for an R compound DR in back. Assuming you're not planning to drastically increase your power output, $ isn't a factor and you want a high performance summer tire, I wouldn't even consider Firestone's, the Pretendaz or anything else.
Thank you for this input. I really don't care about price so much as quality. I want the tire to hook up well with 550-600hp and still get decent tread life. Obviously those two things don't go together, so I want the best traction in a street tire I can get. Street tires getting usually around 20k miles. I know to get real grip I'll need a better rubber composition that is softer and sticky, but I lose miles. What caught me on these more than the price was the fact that tire rack surveys had them rated higher than the PSS's in some key categories for me. I've never owned either tire and really want what will hook up the best with a decent tread life. My stock tires are at 13k miles and time for a change. They only hooked up well when they were new and after 3k miles even my TCS wouldn't stop the spinning and that's factory stock power. I have a hard time going against something as solid as the Michelin PSS.

Sure no problem. I liked mine a lot because they seemed to do everything well and you know what you're getting. Even when I punctured my rear that wasn't covered under warranty, Michelin gave me 50% of it's value back as a refund. You also know exactly what the car is going to do once you get used to them. Like if you intentionally kick out the rear, you're never going to lose it. I would drive with MRC on track mode on some farm roads with them, going way too fast of course, and they would never even squeal at all around corners. Same on tight off-ramps at 1g. They will kick up little stones off the road though, a lot more than the stock tires.

They're just not cutting it for me now though. The only step up are the Sport Cup 2's but they're not going to last you nearly as long. I'm going to switch to Sport Cup 2's once Mickey Thompson drag radials wear down in the fall. Good luck with them!

I appreciate the feed back, it's very helpful. Hopefully I stay content with my 600hp range on this car. Haha. I trust your judgement because you have the 1911 Les as your profile picture! I happen to be a huge gun enthusiast and actually have a ton of guns, the 1911 is my favorite. I have a Les Baer Monolith, some Wilson Combats, STI, a Nighthawk, and my new favorite a Cabot! I know that's off subject sorry about that lol

No worries and that's my monolith heavyweight right there lol. Are you at 600rwhp or 600hp at the crank? If it's RWHP it's going to be close to the limits of the tire if you like to launch hard from a dig. Remember, that's slightly more than I had when they were working well for me. It'll come down to what you want to do with the car. For DD and some messing around, it worked fine for me at 565rwhp. I wasn't going to the strip or track at all or doing hard launches everyday though.

I'm hoping to never exceed 600rwhp, I'm thinking my first round I will be 20 or better less on HP. I won't be tracking the car (maybe sometimes) it's more for DD and fun. I haven't done a true hard launch with the car let and doubt I'll be doing many of them. The street tire won't ever be a hard dig no spin tire in my HP range. I give that up for tread life, which I'm good with. I'm getting the PSS. They are a safe option. I would hate to get stuck with a tire that can't hold the car at all.

I see you run them on your car, what's your experience with the tire? Have you ran PSS or other highly regarded street tires like the PSS?

So I've had these on now for a good 500+ miles and I must say I LOVE these tires. So much smoother than the run flats. They are so much quieter and they handle beautifully! I would recommend these over and over again!

How is your take off traction? Is your car stock or does it have some power adders?

Unfortunately I very limited time with them as I squeezed them on during a warm spell in Jan.
I honestly cannot make any grandiose claim of great traction or cornering prowess as that would be silly.
The were very responsive to steering input, had great feel and I did think the traction was very good. Again limited driving in-town on cool damp Jan. roads.

I believe these tires will not let anyone down....but i can't speak for those shooting for 600HP

We are heading for spring now.....2 more weeks....2 more weeks. Have to get the Good Wheels back on.

I completely understand, and respect, not being able to give a good word on the tire with your limited ability to run them. The weather here has kept my car in the garage since shortly after Thanksgiving as well. I'm conflicted at spending double the money on a tire that may perform the same as these, or wasting half the cost of a good tire trying to pick up a bargain deal haha.
