The S550 Mustang which started with model year 2015 is suppose to get a MCE for 2018 (3 production years then number 4 is an MCE).

It is a bit too early I feel especially considering the work being done on the Z/28 (or Z28) Camaro for what is likely a late 2017/2018 model year car. though I would say to expect a MCE for model year 2019 instead, though you never know as they might make some major enhancements earlier then expected.

1 thing I can tell you is the tuner shops are very worried about the 18s and above from GM - A popular one here mentioned how they are really locking down the ECU and making it increasingly difficult to tune. Guy sounded outright discouraged over it on the phone.

To tune the 16s and 17s -correctly- involves far more work which equated to much more money. Was quoted $1000 to do my 16 over a 2 day span with a 150-200 mile MAF learning curve and possible tweak afterwards. These are nationally respected tuners as well.

Something to think about for those that tend to swap internals / parts that require a tune.

Aside from that I bet they will increase headroom and visibility to help squash the Camaros #1 complaint. I get around that now by driving much faster than the guy in the lane I want in....speed has its rewards.

Don't be suprised to see a mild 2018/19 refresh.

I hear they will have a glass dome roof, and hoover several feet of the ground and make beeping sounds like the Jetson's car.

I heard they might add a back seat and trunk for 2018. Don't get your hopes too high, though.

Hello,

I agree about the blind spot sensor on the mirrors. I have it on mine, didn't on the loaner. It's a great feature that I hope will become widely available on all cars...

Kindest,

Donner

I hope they add new new colors as well as perfomance mod options.

When will you be able to build and order a 2018 camaro ss at the earliest?

Chevrolet is notoriously late in updating their build sites. Based on previous model release dates, I'd say ordering would open in June. The build site would probably trail by a couple months.

My cla45 brand new was in serivce the first month and had alot of build quality problems which was suprising (Over 15 times for minor repairs problems at dealership). The cla45 isnt quite as fast as i want but a still a fun car. I was cross shopping between a C63 amgs and the camaro 2ss and honestly i care more about the performance. I dont like the interior, its heavy, and depreication is ridiculous. I think i am done with german cars cause the Americans are caught up and im not paying double for a badge tbh.

so let's see, that would mean 2016, 2017, 2018...

a 3 year run for the 6thgen

that's hard to believe.

Why not?....The evolved styling (basically the same look) has been around for nine years now....2010-2018....Time for a major redesign indeed...It couldn't hurt sales!...lol...

First gen was three years...'67-'69....Time to get back to that tradition, heritage, legacy, etc., etc., blah, blah blah...or call it a new heritage, every sixth gen is for three years, starting with the first....Makes about as much sense as anything else...
