Went and got my first FREE oil change today at 2215 miles. I decided not to do it at 500 or 1000 like some did. What was strange is my oil life monitor was around 20%. Seemed low for the mileage.

I also asked about my lack of trunk light and they said it isn't supposed to have one. I decided to go right to the expert and PM'd Becky about it and she says they don't have trunk lights. Not sure what people were talking about on here...

Does seem kinda low. Wonder if it is due to it being new and broke in.

And I for a fact have a trunk light. I know because I swapped the bulb over to an LED vs the incandescent that came with it.

As well as there is a video by Matt aka Lethal Camaro on YouTube that shows him changing out the bulb in his trunk. He has a 16 2SS.

And yeah I'm really lost. The service advisor said they checked my build sheet and it doesn't have one, Becky said they don't too. Yet you have one and it's not a "Fifty" thing if Lethal has one too. I'm so confused.

Have you looked at an others on the lot? I wonder what option I could've had added that makes mine have one. I'm more than willing to compare order info via PM if you want. Maybe I can get the part number off mine.

With it being a 2SS I would think I'd have it without any special add ons. If I recall correctly you posted a pic of it at one time, would you be able to do it again?

Thanks a ton. I have the rectangle but I dont see any wiring or bracket/socket or anything. I may try Chevy chat but it's probably a waste. I may also try another dealer too. Not sure if it's worth the battle over something this minor but the light would be nice.

I told the service advisor I was on a forum and that other guys had the light. He said something to the effect of people on forums say a lot of things that aren't necessarily true. I don't disagree, but out of the things someone would lie about I don't see them lying about a trunk light. I hated to pull the forum card as I didn't want him to think I was telling him how to do his job but I was trying to plead my case and I failed I guess. Now I'm tempted to show them these pics.

Most welcome. And yeah it's true sometimes gotta take forum info with a grain of salt but most people here are honest and want to help.

And I would have much better things to lie about if I was going to lie. Making up a trunk light is a waste of time lol.

But considering there is an expanded view from GM (that's where that diagram pic came from) of a trunk light with a part number on that site I listed. Wonder why some builds get them and some don't. But I would start looking at the trunks of other Camaros and possibly look at another dealer.
