Need some help deciding!

Morning!

I wake up this morning with a difficult proposition on my head. I have a 2002 M6 Millenium Yellow Coupe. I've done some work to it, headers, exhaust, shifter, intake, all bolt on stuff. My next plan was top end and/or FI.

However....I had a 5th Gen Camaro back before I had this corvette (kid came, camaro went, kid aged 2 years, got the vette).

I had a chance to drive a 6th gen 2SS M6 this past weekend and was so impressed with the LT1 and the power. I'd get a C7 if finances dictated, but the camaro that I have a shot at is a leftover 16 at 0% and about 10G off sticker. Out the door I'm looking at 36,000 before my Vette trade. I think I'd also trade my Audi that I leased and just have the camaro and pick up a slammer winter car, as I am in Pittsburgh.

That said, I'm looking for insight. Has anyone made the switch? Does anyone have both? Friends of mine have gone from C5 to 6th Gen Camaro and don't look back.
Thanks in advance!

Your friends are smart!

You've driven it, so ...make the deal.

There are lots of threads on here about people moving from C5 and C5 to the gen6. Most of these people never considered the gen 5. Anyway I feel the gen 6 is a better car than the C6 Z51 which means it's light years ahead of a C5. But the C5 is paid for right ?
Good amount of $ to upgrade from a C5 - they aren't worth that much.

Suggest you search for threads on this subject - lot of good insight and experiences that won't all get rehashed here most likely.

Yes I will have a look around. The Vette is paid for and has money in bolt-ons that I know I won't get back. I'm trying to see if it's just worth it!

I would say that it would be worth it to me personally.

If I could get a loaded 2SS for $36K OTD, I'd jump on it. That's largely why I haven't bought in yet, keep looking for a killer deal like that.
