Jacking pucks

So today after changing my oil I noticed it is almost impossible to life the front end up on any of the large lift points with a floor jack that has the normal 8" round head on it without leaving some indentions.

Where are you all getting the jacking pucks at?

I have the "permanent" ones from ZL1addons. Great solution and is super convenient.

jacking this car up is very tricky since the gap between the rocker panel and pinch welds is very big.

This is the cheap option that I tried first:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It worked but it needs extra attention especially you don't have jack pads on your jack.

I didn't want to spend $90 for simple lift pucks but it seemed like there's no good alternative to ZL1addons permanent "lift points" so I ordered a set.

I also ordered mag pad with mag puck from ZL1 addons so I can jack with from the middle point and put the car on the jacks by using permanent lift points.
Since my current jack stands are Y shape, I also ordered Esco jack stands from here:

It looks like it will be really hard to put this car on Race Ramps cribs (to see since they're 12" from the ground and we have a lot of wheel droop on our cars :/

Cheap and smelly https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

These are what I prefer to use

Hockey pucks pucks are also handy to have around the garage.

I left them outside for a couple of days while they outgassed. They're ok now.

Cut one down the center to cradle the pinch weld, place an uncut one underneath it on the jack cup, out the cut puck on top of that, jack her on up.

I have used one cut puck for all of my suspension installs and subsequent jacking needs with zero problems.

I got them in size "Large" and they barely clear the rock guards (2"-.6" = 1.4") so I highly doubt you can get away with the medium sized one.

I also tried the one in the second link and it also didn't clear

Be careful when you do that as it slipped when I try to do that with using two pucks and slightly bent the rocker panel ( no biggie but scary). For those who are not planning to put all 4 sides on jack stands it might not be a problem but I am not feeling comfortable getting under a 3700 lbs car

That's strange because I've used my orange ones twice with no issues. Weird.

My only concern is when trying to get the front end up. The rear is pretty simple to get up so I have no worries there. I went ahead and ordered the pucks from Amazon so I should be good now. Once I can get the car up then I there are plenty of places to get the jack stand under the car on.

I always jack the car from the sides for safety and am not sure if it's possible to jack from the front as I didn't see any good place to do that.

You will also need an extra low profile jack if you want to go that route since my low profile jack didn't have arms long enough to clear the front bumper and the splitter.

The other puck will not work on the 6th gen it is a Chinese knock off of our jack pads we make. www.zl1addons.com you need the spacer to work on the 6th gen coupe. We also have a set of 4 that you leave on the car.

The ebay puck will not go up into the rocker because it is too wide, we made ours just for the 6th gen and comes with a flag to not leave it on as many have done because you will never see it on the car sitting on the ground. Ours you will see because it has the puck to space it down BALOW the rocker panel.
