Ok, daily drama report!

Step one complete, I have a new authorization number - if I can't take delivery before June 12th I will just have to give up!

Still nothing from OnStar - which probably means it is still on a rail car (no signal and/or hasn't been started for too long - sleeping ) I think I will see it again once it moves to the parking lot, but if it moves from the rail car to a truck quickly I might not see it until it is at the dealer, since it is only 5 miles away. Trying not to hold my breath!

Thinking about the other dealer's call - probably blowing smoke trying to get me to recommit. Since I have technically cancelled the order with them, I can't imagine him putting off another sale on the off chance I might change my mind - he may have someone else interested, but they might not be willing to commit yet (maybe waiting for the car to arrive - and I am pretty sure he doesn't have the car yet - it is at least 2-3 days behind the other one). So, my "backup" may still be in place

Finally got the pin working on my onstar..... Dealer told me car should be arriving at the rail yard in Mira Loma, Ca. today....... Checked onstar and the car is in MO.......

Sorry to see it has taken so long to get the car to Atlanta but it will be worth the wait, At least that is what everyone says...lol Keep me posted and best of luck.

ok, my dealer activated onstar, and it is showing up on my onstar account on the computer, and the MyChevy app on the Phone. However, it is NOT showing up on the onstar app on my phone, and I can't find anything about pinpointing my car's location on the computer... I can do it with my 2013 in the onstar app, but not the '17...

So I guess my question is: How do I get the '17 to show up on the phone app, or how do I pinpoint it on computer website?

Did you log out of the app on your phone and log back in? I had to do that in order for it to show up. I also had an issue where I had multiple accounts. I had to have them consolidated by calling support.

There is a place in the phone app where you can see the parked location - if you have more than one car on the account, you may have to make sure the right one is selected at the top, then scroll down to the option below navigation (location services). If it says it can't communicate with the vehicle, it may be because the car hasn't been started in the last week (happens easily on a rail car).

To see the location on the computer I believe you have to activate Family Link for something like $4.99 per month (I did it, it's worth entertainment value at this point - cheaper than a movie!). If OnStar can't communicate with the car, then Family Link won't be able to find it either, but you do have the ability to switch to aerial maps if you can locate the car to see what's around.

There is an added benefit to Family Link - I just set a boundary alert so that when my car leaves the local rail yard I will receive a text message! I know, I am so far gone , but I want to know when it is on the way to the dealer so they don't stall letting me know!
