[Canadian ZL1]

Hey great news on the car...not sure I am liking the snow on it...ugh! Why would they not store inside?

BTW my concern is those tires my friend. My understanding is they cannot be exposed to temp below 40F or -7c? I believe it states that in the manual not to mention the cold could actually damage them even before you start driving the car? I don't mean to be a party pooper BUT I know when I store my ZL1 it will be in a heated facility with the temp above 40F/-7c to prevent tire damage. If I were you I would call Goodyear and see what they say about the new tires being exposed to the cold weather like that. I hope I am being paranoid for nothing but better safe than sorry.

I hear ya. The dealer didn't want to take the pics. He felt so bad. Lol. She's warm now !

The whole tire temperature hold has bothered me to some degree. I doubt these cars are stored inside after assembly. The low temperature tonight in Lansing Michigan is -11 degrees Celsius. This is significantly lower than the + 7 C minimum threshold. I'm not saying the temp rating isn't legit but there has to be some tolerance for cold exposure. My CTS VSport has Pirelli PZero rubber with the same + 7 C rating. They've been run colder a lot with no noticeable effect.
My point is, build them and ship them on normal timelines. No point in holding.

She's leaving dealer in an enclosed transport from Ontario to New Brunswick. Again I did what I had to do to get this car so it's coming from a dealer who got allotment in central Canada and I live on the east coast. Once it arrives here it's going straight to my Xpel installer who also does wrap. I have a couple of areas in wrapping black. And some getting painted. I'll show pics once she's all done. Won't be long!

+1 on this. People who really want their car don't wait for it to fall in their lap. Mine is going to be transported 1700 miles too. You think a fee for trucking it that distance is going to stop me? Wrong. You have to work if you want one of the first ZL1s. I've never been through this much to buy a product in my life and I'm certainly not going to get beat by the system. I always come out on top. Adapt and overcome.

Love this! Couldn't agree more! When I found out my local dealer didn't get allocation I called as far as Manitoba and ended up finding 5 cars for allotment! Within 2 hours of me getting the bad news from my guy! You gotta fight for what you want. Nobody said life was gonna be easy! Getting this ZL1 certainly falls under this but so rewarding now that she's on her way home now!!
