I want to bump this post. Guys with 2017 cars, do you have HUD shift lights?

I have a 2017 SS 1LE, and I see shift lights as well.

They are little diamond shaped things...they start on the inside and work their way out as revs build. At around 4500 they are green, then they go orange (or was it yellow, I forgot lol), and then red...while they are cool, I wish they were a little bigger.

From what I have seen of mine, they start outside and work towards the center of the HUD screen. As said it is hard to see them, they are small and when it is sunny outside the HUD is washed out and monochromatic instead of color.

On the ZL1 they start on the outsides and move toward the center. My 2016 SS M6 never displayed the shift lights.

Hmm that's strange that every SS wouldn't be provided this feature. Its almost laughable sometimes at how manufacturers come up with what trim level gets what when it comes to some of the little minor things..

Ok 1LE you're getting the exclusive SHIFT LIGHTS.. Yeah!. and you 2SS you'll be getting a unique shade of green for your interior light stripes.

Now off with you. Go and ENJOY!, ;P

Oh well maybe one day those of us who don't have it. There will be a simple fix to enable it.

This is seriously frustrating, because it's in the manual for the HUD. It doesn't say anything about "if equipped". We should have this on our 2SSs...

I may have gotten the way the lights go wrong lol...

As for the brightness, I have no issues with mine....and you can adjust the brightness of the HUD, you tried bumping that up?

In all honesty, they aren't all that great. I would have MUCH preferred to have something that only came on around say 6000+ to let you know you are close to redline. Like a brighter, red flash...not all these color changing lights. Better then nothing though, I guess...

I would be happy if the turn signal indicators worked in the HUD.

Turn signal indicators worked in the HUD on the 5th Gen, and the 2017 manual lists it as a feature.

But it does not actually exist.
I have yet to hear of anyone actually having the feature on a 6th Gen.

The turn signals in the HUD on the C7 Corvettes do not work either. Just for info.
