Currently I do not own a Camaro, however I will be leasing one this month(then buying out lease), so I am here to do some reading on modding the I4 as I am torn between the 2SS Convertible or the I4 Convertible. I welcome any suggestions and insight to my decision, I would like to make a decision by end of month as there's a 1500 dollar lease loyalty rebate now

In a perfect world I would buy the 2SS but with an 11,000 dollar difference that's almost 200 bucks a month more for the 2SS in a lease. I need to see how many mods it will take to get the I4 to the 400hp range, how much that will cost me.

I am a manager at a Chevy dealership so I get employee pricing, but when you look at MSRP's of 55K and 44K, that 4 grand I save is great but still an 11K difference.

I am going with a Summit White and Adrenaline Red interior vert regardless of which engine I ultimately decide to go with.

I am not going to try and be a vendor for parts or anything on here, but I can help people locate a car they want to buy locally to make your life easier.

My name is Dave and I look forward to learning a lot about the 6th Gen's capabilities and have some fun while doing so.

Only car I ever modded was a 95 Tbird with the 4.6, every bolt on with a Zex kit had me run 13.75 @ 102 at New England Dragway.

go with the v6 then twin turbo it and you will blow the ss out of the water on about 15 pounds of boost

Dave, CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
