New 2LT Camaro Owner

Hey guys!

For 12 years since I've graduated high school, I've been driving around in a 1990 Toyota Corolla. It had its share of ups and downs throughout college life, but the more I aged, nothing was probably more worse than always getting tailgated, passed, and my car being on the constant end of punch lines for being too slow. But the car was reliable, got me from point A to point B, and we had a lot of adventures together--but like myself, this car was also starting to show its age. It seemed like every couple of weeks, something was going bad and had to be fixed--and I decided the upkeep would add up over time.

So, after much convincing (pushing hard) from my inner circle--it was time to step forward. The hustling, and working hard--I needed a newer car, so I finally got myself a 2LT Camaro. I've always been a fan of the Camaro since I was a kid. I know I could've gone for V8--and as much as I love the growl, I'm not crazy about power and wanted a good compromise on ferocity meets subtlety. V6 was the way to go for me! This picture was from the day I first got her.

I know there's a certain degree of Camaro owners in the community who aren't cool with that type of spoiler--but I like it, and I don't see it that much where I live. I grew up pre-"ricer" days, so it feels more like those spoilers I used to see on a '70 Mustang or some other muscle car with a sports trim, than some Fast and the Furious high spoiler on a compact car riding low with a crazy bumblebee cannon exhaust. I haven't done much with the car yet, aside from sequential taillights. I'd like to eventually put RS halo lights, change of rims, slightly meaner exhaust, and possibly a louver in the future.

With all that said, I look forward to getting out a lot of this community. Thanks for having me!

CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Back in highschool I was gifted a 94 Camry from my grandparents. Had 98k miles and had been garage kept. Great little car, still have it. Use it for when it snows haha. Welcome aboard man!
