That's good news.... How far is your dealer from the rail yard? Mine is about an hour. Your post is also good news to me seeing as i'm a lil further west from you. Hopefully I'm on the same train!!

Does the same trucking company deliver the vehicles from the railyard to the dealer as they used from the plant? I doubt that is the case (it's probably different all over the country), but it would be interesting if you could do the same kind of lookup for the final leg of the journey...

I was told my car maybe already on a truck, so if that is true, Monday around 3:20pm it should be rolling into my dealership

She's heading south through New Mexico today, next stop is likely El Paso. From there she'll turn west and will be getting much closer to home! OnStar and Family Link are still giving me updates, but I don't know if she will make it all the way here before going to sleep.

With all the distance she's covered, I can't believe she won't be here until Wednesday - I am pretty sure the remaining distance could be easily covered in a day, but I expect her to end up sitting in a railyard for a few days somewhere between here and there - probably El Paso or Tucson. If I remember correctly, the 2010 sat in Tucson for 3 days - it was so frustrating to be so close!

I can't wait!

Once she's unloaded (and wait until unloaded in the parking lot) call the dealer and they can make the call to expedite delivery. Otherwise you're just a date on their chart for load and transport. Mine was scheduled for March 10th delivery.

Almost home...

Hey,

Apparently I missed this thread when it was actually my time. Now, however, I've gotten to the point where memories of past bad luck with cars is haunting me, and I'm worried I'll end up having to wait another 2 weeks for some reason. It's supposed to be delivered day after tomorrow (3-13-17).... I just found this thread and y'all know where your cars are (train transport, city, etc)...

What's your secret? lol How can I find out were mine is? The last thing I saw was chatting with the Chevrolet website and they just said "finished production not transported yet" and that was day before yesterday I think

We got our dealers to turn on OnStar. Then you can use the phone app to track or subscribe to Family Link for $3.99 and use your computer to track it. If your TWP was Feb 6 you are pretty darn close to getting it now.

What is your VIN? or Order #?

OnStar, have it activated mine is just north of Cincinnati on a rail car. You can also call your dealer and ask what they know about it if its on a train they should have the info to track it other ways. Look back at page 28ish.

Good to know!

Last time I think it was 5 days after getting to the Phoenix rail yard before it got on a truck to the dealer - I don't know how long it was still on the rail car, but I'm sure it sat in the parking lot for at least a few days. I don't think the ETA the railroad gave me this time (3/15) included delivery to the dealer - I think it was just to the Phoenix rail yard, but I'm definitely keeping an eye on it.

Thanks, mlee!

If your dealer will activate OnStar for your car, you can track it that way, as already mentioned, but sometimes that is not accurate if the car hasn't moved recently. We also have a wonderful lady named Becky to help us figure out when our cars are shipped - see http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=415251 - read the first post to understand the process, then jump to the end (it is a very, very long thread!) and submit a request for status on your order number. Once she confirms you have been shipped, you can contact your dealer to get the shipping information, which includes a rail car # - then you can call the railroad and get an ETA to your local rail yard.

If your car was built the week of 2/6, you should be very close - about half have already been delivered. Mine was built 2/9, shipped 3/5 and is supposed to arrive in the Phoenix rail yard 3/15 - then hopefully I can get a on truck to the dealer quickly thereafter.

You've come to the right place, and this is a great group to be in!

My car is sitting on a transport truck at the Phoenix Rail yard right now. I was told it would show up either Monday afternoon, or Tuesday, such a long weekend, probably the only time I want the weekend to end soon, lol.
