Not my car, my friends car.

Kit wasnt made by me either, only dislike i a have about the kit is 3in dp is all that clears the steering column. 3in dp I'm afraid will run into back pressure issues. He says if it becomes a problem it'll go out the hood 4in

Had to chuckle at the stock engine comment. Well....technically.

I'm telling him he needs to run my spool valve cause we get full boost sooner with my rear mount kit than his topmount kit.

500/500 chart on mine is 5lbs boost and 600 chart is 8lbs boost all pump gas

My charts from my car with stock intake mani through rear mount.

My friend was on Sunoco gt plus 260 and meth injection.

goes to show a proper design rear mount isn't that bad after all

His turbo
S476 billet comp wheel, t4 housing 92mm wheel 1.25ar

My turbo
S475 cast comp wheel, t6 housing 96mm wheel 1.32ar

So recap

He makes 115hp over me with 2lbs more boost

He has a very similar turbo with 1mm larger comp wheel and 4mm smaller exhaust wheel. T4 housing for him while t6 for me.

I have 15 feet of exhaust pipe before the turbo, he has 3ft
I have 15 feet of charge pipe to the tb, he has 5ft max

I spool 2000rpm sooner with a proper setup rear mount and spool valve. Making more trq everywhere in the lower rpm even on lower boost.

He is running 19degree timing we were running 17degree timing

He makes 115hp over me on the top end and I would like to think the intake was a large contributing factor to that.

Can't wait to see Powerfab do the before/after on the vette for us, based on the differences I see here on my buds car and mine it deff made some gains from that intake. In the zone of 80+ whp it seems

stay tuned....

edit:

talked to him and he does have a cam so chalk that up as about 60hp cam and 60hp intake gains. Still not bad
