Camaro SS rental

I get on these forums about once week, to keep up on the latest on the Gen 6 camaro.

I went on a vacation without the kids. Just my wife and me. Im 46 years old. So my wife surprised me with renting a 2017 SS. While on vacation for a rental car.

When i found out what she was doing. I thought they must tune down the car or something.

Well after driving the SS. I was surprised at how well it does run. I've had a few camaro and mustangs, in my life, but none compare to this car. I've even test drove a 2016 SS, the salesman went with me, so i never got a true feel for what this car will do.

Got to do a few pulls against a few mustangs or anything else i thought would be welling. The biggest surprise was i was behind a 5.0 coyote mustang at a light. He rolled off the line and then hammered it and the i responded also. I pulled him fairly quickly, even though i had my wife in the car. He was by himself. I was impressed how well the car does run.

I guess im writing the thread, so to say. If anyone has any doubts about buying the the gen 6 camaro ss, don't. The car rides really well and smooth. The biggest thing also about the SS. It doesn't matter what speed you are going and hammer it, it just pulls hard. Sure there are fast cars out there, but for the money you can't go wrong with the SS.

Plus people always debated about how to break in a SS. Im sure this rental wasn't driven easy ever. Had 18000 miles on it. So i say drive it like you stole it from day one.
