Yes there was 1LE felt tighter and stiffer in a good way compared to the SS. I really liked the shifter in the 1LE.

Keep in mind he maintenance on a 1LE is a bit more money. Just consider the brakes. Rotors and pads for all 4 wheels will cost more. I have not priced them, but considering the two piece rotors this will be more. Also, if this is a daily driver you will need new tires in 12k miles or so. good replacements will cost you 1500 or more.

1LE is a great car for daily driving as i daily drive mine.

You just contradicted your own statement. "I made my car a 1LE, but without XXX, XXX, and XXX. Oh, and XXX."

Your car is not a 1LE. Nor will it ever be a 1LE. I find it amusing when people imitate other vehicles.

He means ZL1/1LE, as most of the suspension components are shared, not ZL1 1LE.

I'm thinking of selling my modded 2SS if you're interested. Here are the latest pictures with the Magnuson and new Vossen wheels. I live in AA county and work in PG if you're local

I was in the same situation as you before I bought my 1LE. I test drove both an auto and manual 2SS. I'm coming from owning a 5th gen 2SS 1LE and was disappointed Chevy wasn't offering a 2SS model 1LE this time around. I still wanted the extra items a 2ss comes with, that's why I considered a 2SS. But needless to say, one look at the 1LE and I was hooked. I test drove it and for me the 2SS its a lot car and it's great, but the 1LE was so much better for me since I do track the car.

Well the e-diff is the biggest thing. Recaros are the second biggest. And dude...MRR? Possibly a downgrade from stock, and nowhere close to the stock 1le wheels.

Does the 1LE have the trim pieces that light up on the inside like the 2SS with different colors

That question was bugging me for weeks. I went back forth a dozen times or more. I ultimately went 1LE.

Every time I watched a YouTube video on a 1LE, I would just couldn't think of the 2SS.

The base stereo was my main problem with the 1SS package, but I figured it's easier /cheaper to add a basic amp, and a sub that buying those 1LE rims / tires, adding the Recaro's, magnetic ride, and the 6 piston brakes.

Even after all of that you wouldn't have a 1LE. Also the PDR looks cool, and hopefully the e-diff works well.

To each their own man. e-diff and recaros don't make a difference to me. The wheel, tire, brakes and suspension seem to be the main performance component's of the 1LE, all of which can be had after market. Whats wrong with the MRR's outside of they are lighter then stock?
