ANYONE SURE IT'S DUE TO PARTS?

I was just wondering if parts were really the issue, why were so many ZL1 orders advanced from 1100 to 2000 then 3000 and beyond BEFORE the official DOSP that began on 02/09/17?

It sure would be nice, if anyone representing Chevrolet is monitoring this thread, if they could please submit some factual information. Either about the cause for the delayed TPWs, or what we can expect in terms of when the TPWs on the orders where they were
retracted, will be adjusted and announced.

I second the frustration level. I spoke with the general manager of my dealer and he said he gets no information from GM and I can try to call them but good luck. He wanted me to feel better by telling me he has a special order vette that he's waiting over 6 months for. The worst part is I found a car coming in soon at another dealer but my guy wants to hold my deposit until he sells the car I ordered. Amazing he's had my money since December

Definitely the inventory glut is resulting in reduced production schedules. If you want an A10 ZL1 you probably have no alternative but to order it, but there are lots of M6 cars out there. For someone who wants an A8 SS there are so many cars available they should be able to find something. There is a real possibility some orders placed now might not get built due to production cut backs.

I called my dealer today and he thought I still had a TPW of 3/27; obviously Chevrolet doesn't send their dealers updated information. The dealer had not heard of any delays nor knew the reason for the delays.

I have higher expectations than Chevrolet is delivering in the customer service arena. How easy would it be for the chat folks to have a 3 sentence standard response stating a broad based reason for the delay, the anticipated length of the delay (a week, month, year, decade), and even an automated email system that would send customers a response when a new TPW was determined? It's a rhetorical question, it would be easy if they cared enough to do so.

Here's how I look at it today. GM developed a vehicle. They announced its introduction and rolled out their own plan with respect to production and delivery. Had it not been for this forum and a few very genuine people I have encountered through it I would definitely have given up long ago. The reality is the car will be produced and delivered on someone else's timeline not mine. I got to select the body type, trans, color and options I wanted. I didn't get to pick the dealer or state I would like to have selected myself. I bought it from the person that could deliver. I've been inconvenienced and in order to not walk away empty handed I'm going to wait it out. I feel I'm owed this car for what I've endured and I'm going to get it one way or another. There are two persons I trust. One of them is me. The other is not you.
