Doesn't look like a large production number for the 2017 ZL1(50TH). There are Z's available on the ground but I just placed my order and will wait.

The ordering process sucks. Badly. Explore the option of finding the perfect car on a lot out of state. You still might end up ahead of the game. Wait till the end of the month and make an offer. Lurk in the shadows and strike at the right time!

So what happens if you are still at 1100 after the next two order cycles? Your order is deleted? Goes automatically to a 2018 order?

I'd be running around the Internet and finding one of many melting on dealer lots... You will never ever be able to get a ZL1 "FIFTY" year again ... Pick up that 17!!

Well I work at the dealer I ordered it from. They kinda get a little crabby when employees go and buy a Chevrolet from another dealer. I have to give them a chance to get one first. There's a difference in the price from other dealers to employee cost too.

I'm still waiting at 1100 since November. Dealer claims they will have an allocation available sometime "early 2017". I'm not too optimistic but will wait it out. If they are lying to me and they receive no allocation, I'll go find one on a lot out of state... So I'm holding on ...for now.

Auto Trader has 92 ZL1' listed for sale, 32 are (A10)automatics. I'm sure some listed for sale are in transit. There are more out there as one local dealer has an auto in transit and it is not on Auto Trader.

Some of those are click bait too. There has been some listed for a month or so but when I looked a the specs it showed 6m.

I'm new to this GM new car ordering game, but my gut and seeing others' order progression history says 1100 since November and no movement is a sign of something very wrong, like they had no allocation or screwing you in the background. :-( Best of luck in the hunt...you should be able to find one you want :-)

I should have put that in my test. That happens too often and I think Auto Trader or Cars.com should take action against the dealers. I called on a Garnet Red 2SS in Texas. It had been on the web site for over a month. Found out a sales guy took it out and totaled it, but the dealer still left it up for another month (or more). The sales guy I spoke with gave me some garbage story about having to leave it advertised on Trader.
