First sounds of the new 2.9 Whipple SC - Page 2

If you go to Weapon X Motorsports FB page, they have this clip and another clip that's sped up showing installation of the Whipple. They never posted any dyno numbers--AT ALL. In the FB comments, there are multiple people asking for dyno numbers and they never responded to those comments. I know Whipples reputation, I know they are arguably the best supercharger in the market & I also have ordered a red one for my '16 SS but it seems so weird that there are zero comments on real life dyno numbers. I'm hoping that there aren't underlying issues and that's why no one is saying anything.

There are enough things in place to support the concern and make you wonder....big delay 6 to 8 weeks when ordering one, and as you said no numbers out there etc...would think the bragging numbers would be shown no?

Ya for some reason Whipple doesn't want this info released yet but they have no problems taking people's $9000 for pre orders.

I had to phone my bank to up my daily limit....then that took 30m on the phone going to the fraud dept. Then I picked Red and forgot about shipping and was like 20 bucks over the limit I set on the phone....had to call again sigh.

Lot of annoyance for me personally just so I could get Red hehe.

I emailed my shop asking for a shipping date. Whipple told them "about two weeks". Now this has changed from being shipped between 2/9 & 2/16. I'm tempted to call Whipple and ask what is going on? I'll just get a Maggie heartbeat, or not get a supercharger at all OR go order a ZL1. I hate when I pay upfront for shit and there is constant delays on what I ordered.

Didn't realize you paid upfront. My speed shop just put a 1k deposit on it and will be calling next week to verify that it will be shipped and received by the 24th. The 24th is the last day of the 6 week shipping window they have. If it's confirmed then it's all good but if they say even another day longer my shop will cancel and I'll go a different direction altogether. Again I'm not trying to be impatient but the lack of communication on the delays and the fact that there were already so many dates missed. Just can't sit and hope so the 25th is my day to move on.

I ordered mine on 1/6/17. The owner of the shop gave me a $600 discount for paying up front (which basically meant that getting it in red was free). The shop is very reputable (New Era Performance in Rochester, NY), but I just don't like this constant delay BS from Whipple. Even if it was here, the car isn't coming out till the snow is melted and salt washed off the roads anyway, but at least I would know that it's HERE!

I just hope that this isn't going to be one of those situations where if I choose to cancel they don't do the same delays putting $ back in my hands. I'll give them the 6-8 weeks they quoted me when I contacted them, after that Mag or Procharger.
