Good chassis ground or go to battery?
So for the ones who have added a subwoofer in the trunk what did you do for grounding the amp and did your way work out ok with no noise? I am getting ready to install mine next week and was curious to see what people decided to do. Back in the day with the battery in the engine compartment we did not have a choice but now with the battery in the trunk we do. I decided to go with a Kicker 12" CompR at 2 ohms and a small mono amp to power it. I bought a Kicker preloaded ported box and I had a heck of a time getting it in. Would not fit through the trunk opening so had to feed it through the seat opening sub down and than pull it to the back trunk opening and stand it up before pushing it back where I wanted it. I don't see how some got a bigger box back there with 2 subs!

direct to the battery is always best but if you have a good spot that's a chassis ground, that will work just about as well. If you have an ohm meter, check the resistance between the chassis ground and the negative terminal of the battery just to be safe though.
