Procharger install question

Ok. Got my procharger p1 with the stage 1 intercooler today. Was so excited, called a few guys over and we knocked it out. Now the problems, keep getting a check engine light because of the mass air flow sensor. Have checked it 3 times and it is fine. Second problem, once I first turn it on, it idle like crazy. A difference of about 400 or 500 rpms. Probably has something to do with the mass air flow sensor but I don't know. If I stop and hit the gas kinda mildly maybe 3k rpms there is a ton of black smoke that comes from the exhaust. Now, if I am going 60mph, and hit the gas I don't see any smoke. I am using the turn they sent. Will probably call them Monday. Just wanted to get a head start. Hope that all made sense. Phone is getting ready to die. Had to type fast

Sounds like a maf issue
Look for an air flow arrow on the maf make sure its pointing towards the throttle body

I pulled the maf out. Didn't see any arrows on it but when I turned it around the holes on the maf don't line up with the holes on the piping so it has to be in the right direction

I have a buddy who is really knowledgeable about install, has 2 procharger cars and his 16 has the same problem and throttle position sensor issue also. He has been pretty busy and hasn't had time to figure it out. I've read at least one other post with a similar issue after a P1 install.

I should have it figured out. The guy that loaded the tune, loaded the standard sct tune. I had to email procharger and they will email me a tune for the programmer

Do you guys think I hurt anything by driving it home that day. It was about a 15 mile drive. I know these computers in newer cars are pretty smart just wanted to get your opinions.

As long as you weren't getting into too hard, you're probably fine. But there is always a possibility.

Didn't go above 3k that I am aware of. Thought it would have probably went into engine protection mode or something if it was getting hurt but Idk much about these newer engines

I don't think it would hurt the engine if you drove easily, no WOT and no high RPM's, it should be dandy.

The guy that tunned it, what an ass!!! Why is it that so many people do not read instructions? Do they really thing that the guys who make them just want to bore others?
