Hud Display Vs. Sunglasses

Maybe it's just the type of grey tint on my sunglasses BUT the HUD disappears the moment I put on the glasses... Same with the rest of you or, like I think, is it hit and miss depending on the color of the tint?

The problem are the sunglasses polarized. Get a normal sunglasses and you will enjoy the HUD.

It's hit or miss based on your sunglasses, IF they're polarized. Non-polarized shouldn't be affected.

*Edit* The effect is different with different styles of polarized glasses. For example, my Oakleys only make the HUD have a green tint, and is less vibrant overall. However, it is still fully visible.

I have 2 pairs of Oakley's, a polarized set and non-polarized. You'll definitely have this issue with a polarized set.

Thought my HUD was green for the first week that I owned it. Only driving it during sunny days with my shades on. Wasn't until I drove it for the first time at night that I realized it was in full color.

Hello,

I have prescription polarized (green tint) aviators from Ray Band (thank you Sears) and can see the HUD fine when I jack it up to full bright. (That little button on the right of the three; tap is up a few times)...

Kindest,

Donnner

Yep, turn the brightness up to full and no issues with polarized sunglasses (Ray-ban for me). Green with Sunglasses on, white without.

I can see it with my polarized oakleys but it's pretty faint.

Same with my Ray-Ban polarized. OP you can definitely get polarized to be usable with the HUD. But you will want to try on the pairs to see which ones are best. Had the same issue with the HUD in my BMW.

I think I remember having same thing with my Iphone. When I turn my head sideways it would be fine if I remember correctly.

Maybe has to do with the polarized direction, no idea if that makes sense, just speculation.

If so maybe some sunglasses the direction is different and could work better.
