Another satisfied Roto-Fab customer

Nope no dyno to show sorry guys.

But, last night I installed my Rotofab Dry w/ sound delete, uploaded a basic tune via HP Tuners and went out for a drive. I've been on the fence about adding an intake because on a stock car you're really not gaining much. But I will say, the car sounds real good with the new intake and I can feel the difference in power. It's not a huge gain, but it is there.

Before anyone doubts my butt dyno, I have 20+ years of modifying and tuning cars so I know when the butt dyno is lying. There was definitely a gain in performance. Well worth the money spent.

I picked mine up from Tim @ EFI. Next I will be installing my E85 Flex Fuel kit but I'll probably wait until I pick up the ported IM/TB from Tim/Pray and do it at the same time.

My only other mods before the Rotofab was 2nd cat delete with full Borla catback.

Thanks for taking the time to post this review! I'm glad you're happy with your Roto-fab CAI. If you ever have any questions, we're always here to help!

Thanks! We build intakes for performance first. The appearance and sound are great added bonuses.

The one thing I've noticed with the Rotofab intake is that after some very hard runs my LTFT's went way negative 28% at idle. The STFT's brought them back up a bit in short order but there was still a 15% negative fuel trim delta. I'm going to tweak the idle area of the MAF tables and VVE and see if I can't get it back inline. This isn't anything the ECU cannot handle and I never noticed it before until I ran the car real hard.

I felt the same way about the RF CAI kit, I got the same one for my 1LE. It alone woke the car up and I noticed it was getting easier to get the tires to spin in RPM ranges where it wouldn't when it was stock. Then I did the secondary cat delete and that only added to the power and made it even easier to spin the tires.

Next round of mods will be headers, PRAY ported intake/TB and a tune and hopefully break the 450rwhp range.

My Kooks are on the way, I have E85 ready to go, AEM Wideband, and then I just need the PRAY TB/IM setup to complete my power mods for now. Then I will be adding 1LE wheels since I'll need more traction.

Debating if I spend the time tuning it myself or if I just pay EFI to tune it. I suppose it depends on how much time I have on my hands when I install the parts.

I ordered a Roto-Fab today gave up on the GM intake there turning it into a bad joke 37 states legal... until a later date?

If I'm going illegal might as well have the better looking one lol they changed emission testing in Ontario anyways they don't even test the exhaust now. I might run a test with the intake on to see if it actually even has a impact on it passing or not here in Ontario.

No engine light then I'm Likely good anyway. And from what I have researched it works fine on a stock tune! With no check engine lights.

Check youtube. Borla has made very good videos of this with great equipment so you can really hear the sound.
