The 1LE with the eLSD is two separate components. The fluid you had changed is for the main differential, which is composed of the pinion, ring, spider gears and the respective clutch packs for each of the two axles. This assembly does require the GM 5 oz oil supplement along with the GM gear lube. The second part of the differential is the "electronic" clutch that is controlled by the computer, and you can see in this cut away picture, there are separate hydraulic lines that control the amount of power (slippage) applied to the mechanical portion (gears) of the differential. This hydraulic fluid is not changed.

Man, you are one of the most prolific purveyors of BS on this forum.

Just read the bottle. In fact, go look at the pic of the bottle the OP posted.

You will see it clearly indicates the LSD additive is in the fluid.

And, FYI, it took almost all of 2qts to reach full after my flush before tracking.

No. It doesn't. I posted the pages from the Service Manual on this forum when I did mine last month.

I see one page, and it doesn't prove anything about the diff fluids, since it refers to another section on Approximate Fluid Capacities which you did not post.. if you have that page do post it up..

Unless our friend Matt has something else to show us, these are the capacities we have all been given.

I just checked the Corvette and Cadillac ATS/CTS owner's manuals. The "eLSD Clutch System Lubricant" is Dexron-VI. The 88862624 "Real Axle Fluid" (nice proofreading GM) is actually synthetic.

Right, but what you just posted there says "SAE 75W-90 88862624 for the rear axle (LSD), and Dexron VI ATF for the eLSD. So that would make it seem as if we are correct in stating the rear diff (JUST the pumpkin, not eLSD cutch) uses JUST 88862624 w/ the additive already in it.

At least that's how I interpret that...

Yes, 1.6QT 75W-90 for the differential, 5.4 oz Dexron VI for the eLSD clutches.

Right, but what im getting at is that those are two separate things, from two separate fill spouts. So you shouldn't have to MIX anything. The diff uses 88862624 like other members have already stated, and the eLSD clutch uses Dexron VI (except this doesn't really matter much, as we the consumer shouldn't really have to change this all too often).

Again, my understanding of what has been posted thus far.

Yes the fluids go in separately. I don't believe the eLSD fluid would have been specified in the owner's manual if it wasn't meant to be serviced..

Oh I'm sure it is, just not as often as the differential.
