I think most are comparing MRC vs non-MRC cars- a hole different ball game. After driving a car with MRC I immediately felt the difference.....
There isn't any need for MRC, the base suspension is more than good enough.

To each his own, I feel there is a great deal of diference in the way they ride and handle. The base suspension is good, on Michigan roads it is severely challenged. My contention is you will only feel a minimal amount of difference between a 1LE and a 2SS with MRC. It will show up in track time, marginally.

OK, that horse is now beaten to a bloody mess.

I am going to disagree as well. This is my 1st MRC vehicle and coming from a C6 Vette which has great handling and after test driving a 2016 Camaro 1SS without MRC I can tell you the MRC is a world of difference in ride and handling.

I am impressed more and more that I drive this car with how it drive and handles.

Haha, so you think there's a huge difference between MRC and non-MRC, but a negligible difference between MRC and 1LE MRC.. sounds like conformation bias to me. But it's all subjective so to each their own.

All three setups are very good.

I can only offer one "game changing" acronym to the discussion: eLSD

I don't want to drive the 1LE because I'll probably end up trading my SS in for one. Another reason as to why I don't want to test drive the ZL1 (even though they are hard to find)...

The 1LE and ZL1 have specially calibrated MRC if you read the fine print. The original question was the difference between a 1LE and a 2SS with MRC.

I think we are talking past one another. I agree all 3 basic setups are very good.

I've ordered the 1LE suspension kit and trailing arms for my SS with MRC. Aside from the bigger brakes and the eLSD with PTM, this is as close as it'll get for SS owners. I'll definitely let people know how it rides and handles in that configuration. Expecting big things with how many positive reviews there are on here.

(Track mode is too soft on the SS)

So everyone has their opinion but honestly it depends on what you want to do with the car. I own a 2SS that has GM 1LE wheels (not replicas) with the factory 1LE tires. It has the 1LE suspension package but I haven't done the programming for the MRC at this point. I have driven my car and a friends 1LE on the street and on a track and I can tell you that they are both great cars. There is definitely some advantage to the eLSD and the 1LE does feel a little stiffer, probably because I haven't had the MRC adjusted on mine, but the difference is minor and you won't notice it a lot if you aren't going to push the car really hard on the street or take it to the track. The bigger brakes definitely have more bite and less fade, but again that is mostly track advantage, not a big difference in street driving. In my honest opinion the tires are the biggest difference maker as they are on most vehicles. There is definitely a difference in the way my car rides now vs. when it was stock and most of that change came with the bigger and stickier rubber. I only went with a 2SS because I didn't really want to wait for a 1LE and I wanted an A8. I know that was long but to answer your question I would tell you that there is definitely some difference in the way the stock SS MRC feels vs the 1LE but they are both great cars, just depends on what you are looking for. You won't be making a "wrong decision" with either. Just my opinion.
