Sucks that GM is now limiting how much of your GM credit card money can be used towards the purchase. My 2012 and 2013 Chevy's were not limited.

I think it depends on the credit card you're using, too....the older one is subject to redemption limits, but not the newer "BuyPower" card...

According to the card website there isnt a limitation. I guess it is GM limiting to $1500 on camaro. Also, the card i have can be used with GM Supplier discount, but not the BuyPower card.

Yes. with the older card...the newer card has lower percentage benefits, but no limits...I ended up switching for that reason. In fact, they instruct you to bring the card into the negotiation right at the end, and use the points as cash off the agreed-upon price.

I have $2000 in earnings with the "GM Card" that I can only use $1500 of on a Camaro, like you said. You can find the limitations for all cars on the benefits website. Corvette's get to redeem $3000...

So, as soon as I take delivery and use that $1500 off the old card, I'll transfer the remaining $500 to the new "BuyPower" card's benefits...and cancel the old one.


EDIT: Hm...damn....the combining thing wasn't part of the deal when I originally signed up for that...

I have $2370 right now. I used $2200 back in 2013 on my wifes car with no issues.

Yeah, i'm waiting for discounts... the GMS pricing is ridiculous...no way I'm paying MSRP.

Do you have a "GM BuyPower" card (2014-ish and newer?) or an older "GM card"?

You can't get a new GM Card, so it would show up on that chart...

I have the older GM card. With the restriction listed for GM supplier discount it would not make sense to get the BuyPower card for that reason. I want my GM Supplier discount and use my $2370 earned.

Interesting, just went to the chevy site and it let me put all $2370 into the price calculator.
