I'd still get my A8 since mine is a DD and traffic in Houston ain't no punk. I would wait until the 2017 model though. There's been too many recalls on the 2016 already and I have two more issues that popped up....sigh.

It just about seems A8s/M6 are about a 1:1 ratio with these 6th Camaro's. looks like both are equally solid.

I have an A8 and would do it over again because I drive a lot and I got tired of manual cars as Daily Drivers. I've had a manual for the past 12 years. There are times I still miss the manual. When I buy a Z06 for my second car, it will be a manual.

I'd wait till the bugs are sorted out at least a year,, my car has been in the shop more times than I'd like but I'd still get a 2ss A8,,, love the remote start one of the main reason I got the A8

I've had my share of manual trans.. I understand the fun factor.. but I'm past the shifting gears
I wouldn't change a thing.. A8 1. Auto is faster 2. Remote Start 3. I can drink my Mountain Dew while accelerating from the light

I've had no problems with my 16 A8 and would buy another one. It's crazy how in love I am with this car.

I love fast cars. Period.

I've had three performance oriented manual cars prior to my '17 A8 SS.
A 2008 Cobalt SS, 2014 Camaro SS with the Short-throw and a 2015 Challenger Scat Pack. Loved all three of those cars to death and went into my latest purchase with the expectation of buying a manual. That was until I stopped by my local dealer which had a Summit White A8 on the lot equipped exactly the way I wanted. The dealer prodded me to take a test drive which I did with a little hesitation. Once I saw how "smart" the A8 was and how quick the manual mode responded, I went full in on the automatic. After having it now for 2k miles, I would do it the same all over again. It's so nice when tied in traffic to just waft along, but when it's time to play...the car just hunkers down and gets business done. It's hilarious how it's personality changes with the press of the pedal. |
