Interesting. My dealer said they would do the supplier discount if I am eligible, buy they also told me they charge a $599 fee. I'm not sure if they have it worded differently so they can get away with it or if the saleman isn't aware of the $75 limit. I didn't know that was a rule myself. I'll have to check on it, but I'd rather give them $524 to get the discount, than pay full price, or have to go through this ordering process all over again. I know $500 is $500, but when you compare $69,500 to $70,000, it's definitely not worth losing a deal over.

GMS sales are limited to $75 across the board whre GSU sales allow a higher fee where state laws specifically allow.

There have always been a large number of GM dealers who diid not accept GMS pricing, including when dealers could not charge a doc fee for a GMS sale. My belief the reason is the extra auditing every GMS sale undergoes.

Unless it's in the state law to.charge higher, here is direct from the supplier webpage:

Documentation Fees
Dealers will be permitted to assess a maximum of $75 in documentation fees, except in these specific instances:

A documentation fee is specified in the applicable state law;
OR
Your dealership charges all customers the same documentation fee (excluding customers purchasing under the GM Employee, Military, Executive Referral and Dealership Employee programs).

Ok. Thanks. I remember reading that now and that is how they get by with it. They told me straight up that they charge that same fee on every vehicle they sell.
