If you want to hang a coat, drape it backwards on the front seat.

And if you're worried about the cup holders . . . you might just be James May.

Hey, Spartan, appreciate the info; that is about what I thought. Since I have neither your skill set or patience, I'll likely pass on creating playlists within a USB devise.

So, if I want playlists (such as what I currently put on CDs), I should probably just buy a bunch of inexpensive USB drives and create separate playlists on them. Sound right?

To say it another way, I'll "burn" playlists on USB drives instead of CDs?

See my post #51. You only need one USB device.
1. make sure the USB device is formatted FAT32.
2. Copy your .mp3 files to the USB device.
3. Open Windows Media Player (or whatever music program you have on your computer). Now open the music files on the USB device, not the music on your computer. This is most important.
4. Make your playlists. Double check that they are saved to your USB device along with your .mp3 files.
5. Miller time.

FYI, When you create a playlist, it doesn't contain the music file, just a directory to the location of the music file. If you create the playlist from the music files on your computer, the directory (in the playlist) will point to the computer directory and not the USB device and it will not work.

Yeah, that's the simplest way to do it. Just load up all your songs you want in your playlist on a single flash drive and plug it in. Hit up Amazon to get them the cheapest.

Brew, check this out:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Works
Inexpensive
Well constructed
unobtrusive

I had the same problem on my 2011 CTS Coupe. Been using the above for three years now.

My current peeve is that the car won't stay in Track or Ice/Snow mode...they both revert to Tour which is ridiculous. I NEVER EVER want to be in Tour unless I am on the phone or I've driven myself onto some crazy bumpy road.

If I'm in Track Mode I will tell the car when I have left the track.

If I'm in Ice/Snow Mode I will tell the car when I no longer need it.

Often, when you rip a CD onto a drive, it will create its own folders (usually, one for the artist and a subfolder of the album). For instance, let's say you have 3 Metallica albums and 2 Avenged Sevefold albums. You'll end up with these folders:

Metallica
- ...And Justice for All
- Ride the Lightning
- No Life 'Till Leather
Avenged Sevenfold
- Nightmare
- The Stage

Of course, if you use your phone to stream the music already on your phone (not "streaming", but that music you've already put on your phone), you can have many more playlists:

- Recently Purchased
- Recently Downloaded

Lastly, many audio apps will create their own playlists for you based on genre (rock, blues, rap, etc.), thumbs-up, etc.

Of course, you can always do what I do 90% of the time. Assuming that you like all of the music that you have on your phone/USB drive, just play all songs on random. If you want to skip one, just skip it. And that 10% of the time when you want something specific, it's just a few clicks away.

My biggest gripes - and if these are the biggest, that's not too bad - are:

no light in the glove box
usb ports in console hard to reach and impossible to plug in while driving
12v outlet right in the center of the console- and only 1 of them
useless center console storage space
difficult to retrieve items under seats
interior rear window difficult to clean

I rented a Mustang and while all of the above items were not a problem in the Mustang, the Mustang was nowhere near the same ride as my Camaro. I think Mustang has the interior convenience over Camaro, but there's no comparison to the way they drive!

Kirk, I never got to the point of driving the Mustang (I was in luv with the Camaro) but came to the same conclusion. Game over when I drove the Camaro ...plus reviews of Mustang & Challenger clearly stated Camaro was better car. Hell, even Consumer Reports recommended the Camaro.
