Top Mods (50th Anniversary)

What are some of your top mods for the 50th?

I have gotten NGM splash guards for the rear.

What else have some of you done to this particular car?

Wow! That's a ton. But I like it, I like it a lot. is everyone doing the splash on all corners. Don't you have to drill for the fronts.

splash guards on front prevent a lot of potential rock damage.

No drilling, but need a pop rivet gun and some small torx drivers. Pop rivets come with the kit. For the front it's a two piece plastic kit(each side)- you have the painted pieces- and a black plastic part that locks in behind the fender liner. You rivet the two pieces together. The instructions say you may need to enlarge holes, but that's in the second plastic piece- not the car. I never touched a drill or bit for mine.

With the splash guard would you still get paint protection for the rockers? Is it necessary??

I did splash guards front and rear - easy install and looks great. Plus you get the protection. Also going to paint my strut tower brace (orange and NGM). Haven't received them yet but bought the 50th painted center wheel caps as well. Have 50th center console, black bow ties front and rear, sto n sho plate holder, and 50th mats.

Why are you regretting it? Because of the sink marks?
I got mine replaced by Oracle.
Had them ship me a new set and shipped them the old part after receiving it.
Surface is perfect. Seems like they filled the area though.. couldn't tell for sure.
Anyway, Im a happy camper.

Was going to ask the same question. I understand the early batches had issues but everyone I have seen with the latest stuff loves them Was considering getting them myself and would be interested in your thoughts.

Not to hijack this thread, but with the few posts above about splash guards....i have all four corners sitting in the box for the past few months. Not sure I want to put them on. I'm leaning towards the street scene side skirts instead. Will they protect as well as the splash guards?
