K guys I have some straight answers if you buy the intake out of the states it will not work in Canada because it is a different calibration!

Wait and see if you can order from Canada later because the states intakes have different codes! He assured me this is written all over them it will not work in Canada!

Back to the waiting game.... to see if it comes to Canada

I do believe that is for the 5gen, and pretty good chance it won't fit.

Part # I used 84242093 from the 2017 performance catalog.

Hey I ordered from gmpartsguys and he gave me the info the states intakes only works with a aftermarket tune in Canada it's not the same calibration.

If this comes to Canada it will have to be bought here to get the calibration from Canada different tunes different emissions.

Really stand up guy though GMpartsguy really good and informative wish I could of kept my order with him I'm going to get the dark tail lights from him to give him some business.

ok so you can get it and then take it in and have it tuned here? Thats no big deal,,, whats the part number and his contact info

only tune you can do is a aftermarket tune you will not be able to get the GM calibration if the intakes from the states.

No warranty
No calibration

Unless it comes to Canada and you can order it here it would defeat the whole purpose of people wanting a intake that has a warranty and a calibration.

I called my dealership and asked how cold air intake friendly they are. They said as long as I don't tune the car and it doesn't cause the problem of a repair, that they don't care is the cai is installed from an aftermarket company. So, Rotofab it is! I'm not waiting any longer, and I like their product better anyways.

Go for it there intake is excellent! My dealership was not as friendly I had a mod friendly dealership I always used but they don't do Camaro claims they can work on it but out of my pocket!

My dealership wouldn't even install a OEM engine cover I had painted said it could void warranty lol I installed it myself due to they would have a hard time in court on a OEM item!

I've ran intakes for 17 years I just wanted to do a carb legal one here in Canada ministry of transportation is cracking down I have a fleet of work trucks getting pulled over constantly I know what I'm against!

That's my only problem or I would of Said screw it awhile ago if it don't come to Canada the GM intake I will likely break down and go roto-fab and take my chances... is what it is!

Geez! An engine cover! Haha! I am so sorry. I totally understand why you would want to go with the GM official for sure. It's crazy to me that a intake is considered such a no no. I could see the intake manifold perhaps. I can see a tune. Deleting cats, etc. But some tubing and a filter seems like they have bigger fish to fry. I know California is pretty strict as well. Most guys have their stock boxes and swap them over for smog. But they don't check when pulling you over. The fifth gen Z28 had a cold air intake that resembles the Rotofab from the factory. Can't be that detrimental. It's not like you are gaining a TON of horsepower with these intakes.

hey 2016SS i'm also in the area and have just ordered a k&n filter for now, thinking about combining it with the mishimoto intake tube for a cleaner look and a slight increase in flow.
Since your still running the stock air box at that point I doubt they could give too much hassle... waiting too find out more...thx for the info.

Let me know how you guys make out. Even today my dealer said he can order it but from the states which means no calibration for Canada. I'm going to wait until someone has this on there car and calibrated by there dealer.
