The odds on a raffle work differently from something like Powerball. In Powerball, you are betting that 1 number in 300-ish million possible combinations will be drawn. Powerball doesn't care how many tickets were sold or which numbers were sold, it will just pick randomly from the possible 300 million. In this raffle, however, the max number of tickets sold is 1000, so your chances will never be less than 1 in 1000.

Answering your earlier question, there's no restriction on buying additional tickets--I've never seen a raffle that did. If you want to buy 50 tickets, you can increase your chances of winning to 1 in 20. But have a little perspective... that means that you would have spent $5,000 for a 1 in 20 chance to win a car valued at less than $50,000.

After debating it 4 times, I pulled the trigger. I guess with the $500 in accessories with purchase may have sealed the deal if I don't win.

I wonder how long that is good for?

I guess we will have to choose from what's on the lot, since we won't be able to order a 2017 at that point. Maybe locating one will be an option.
