I remember visiting my Mum (now 84, btw) in the UK twice quite a few years ago and having memorable car experiences. One time over there I rented a Mercedes and I let my Mum drive - I looked over and wondered why were we doing 125mph on a 70mph motorway...her answer "doesn't seem like we are going that fast...oh I was looking at the other dial" (the tachometer). The second time, we were in her Ford Mondeo riding along country lanes in the snow....Mum is bombing along and intuitively counter steering into slides - essentially drifting! And Mum has been with me on cross country trips in the US - speed is not a problem for her
