I have the Nexus 6P, still no Andriod Auto for me, no big deal, but someday would be nice.

Android

I loaded the Android Auto software on my phone and it connects, but I can't see the music I have on my phone. It plays some Google awful music, but I don't know where it's finding that unless it's something loaded by default on my phone by Google. I haven't found that I can do anything but connect my Samsung S6 Edge to the hands free phone. I thought I followed the directions perfectly???? Any suggestions?

The google phone aka Pixel works just fine with Android Auto. One cool thing though you will now use Google maps for navigation and some day maybe even Waze will finally work.

I have the pixel so I can say for sure it works without issues. As far as VR, yes it has what google calls Daydream which is kind of cool. I got the headset free when I preordered it. You can find the daydream headset on sale a lot of time for about 50 bucks.

Also of you are coming from an iPhone they have a connector that you can use to connect your iPhone to the Pixel (XL) .
It will down load all your photos contacts and what not to the pixel. It may take some time depending on how many photos you have.

I had the Nexus 6P before I got the Pixel AA worked without any issues. Are you sure you have AA enabled through the settings menu ?

I have it enabled, I may need to go in for the update. I dont daily the car, so its not of high concern, but I will look into it now, youre the first with a 6P that I have heard of having it work.

It's probably loading Google Play Music which is the default media player for AA. What app are you using to play the music you have stored on your phone? If you are willing, the Play Music app is an a great one since you can upload 20k songs for free to it then have access to your music anywhere. I personally go this route for AA since the integration is the best. But I'm sure there are lots of music player apps that support AA out there if you want to go a different route.

Thanks very much. I'm going to try that tonight.

Np if you don't like using that I'll look and see which apps will work better for music stored on the phone.
