Anyone ordered the matte black finished Street Scene body kit?
I really like the Street Scene kit. Stillen has a Matte Black finished body kit on their site that I don't see on other sites for about $200 more than the unfinished kit. Has anyone else ordered this up? Does it go right on without any additional prep or refinish and if so how does it look?
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to link on here or not but here is the finished kit: https://www.stillen.com/exterior/bod...et-camaro.html Vs. the unfinished kit on their site: https://www.stillen.com/exterior/bod...et-camaro.html |

I've been looking at the exact same kit and I'm wondering the same thing. What's frustrating is the pictures are identical on their site for both kits, so it's hard to know what the difference in appearance is.
I'm glad you posted these links because I've been looking at these kits on Street Scene's website and they're a little more expensive. Finished: http://www.streetsceneeq.com/mm5/mer...ode=950-70248B Unfinished: http://www.streetsceneeq.com/mm5/mer...Code=950-70248

Anyone find out about these yet? Would a Matte Black finish require painting? I think they would look good just in Matte Black.

I have the regular street scene front splitter and it is flat black but with a rough finish (molded plastic black). I'm guessing the ones painted flat black are smooth and painted, hence why they are more expensive.

I actually bought the painted version. The reason why they look the same in their website is because theyre painted matte black. I have mine for sale for 300 if you are in the bay area in California, I paid $435.38 for it but I did a smusge on one of the corners but barely noticeable.

I just ordered the regular unpainted version. They will be here Saturday. I already have the front installed. I cleaned it up with 220 grit sand paper, and used Auto Dip gloss black to paint it. Looks like paint, but it's a spray on vinyl. It looks good. 3 yrs life before needs peeled and resprayed. I got quote for $350 to paint the side skirts and back spats. Or $50 for 2 cans of auto dip. Not sure what I'll do.
