Driver Seat Loose?

I've had my 1LE for 2 months now, and it's still amazing to me what this car can do. However, I've noticed that my driver seat has a very slight give to it, front to back, and I notice it only when coming to a moderate to abrupt stop. If I get out of the seat and try to move it in the same way, it barely budges. It could be normal, but now that I've noticed it, it seems to bug me more. Has anyone else experienced this?

Mine does that too. Reported it to dealer when I was in for some brake noise.
They said they didnt find it..... anyway.
I was in a rush so I will deal with it later.
The seat should NOT have any back and forth movement.
I will be asking for a new seat.

Its not a one piece seat. Some flexing is expected. Especially in High G scenarios

Nope. You can sit down without the car even moving and make the front of the seat move up/down, which makes the back of the seat move forward/backward.
Not a nice feeling particularly when you are coming to a slow stop or accelerating and the seat moves.

I know it is not a FIA approved Carbon Race shell but even being multi piece there should be no movement. It will only increase after time.

My seat was doing the same crap. Slight back and forth and i know dam straight the dealer is going to say its fine. What i did was adjust the seat a bit more down and it went away. This happened to the last BMW i had as well. Luckily the position its in suits me fine or else i would have serious OCD on it.

I misunderstood you. This is unacceptable. I hope you can find a resolution.

Thread hiJack: how do you take the seat out? a friend of mine drop something down in between the seat and I can't get to it, is it just bolts and Undoing harnesses?

Also remember the OP and you have very different seats...

I wonder if it has something to do with the electric motor having some give in some way? As that is what controls forward/reverse movement, dunno...

I would bet that the seats are exactly the same. It would have little extensions on the frame to support the larger bolsters.
It is a way to save money and simplify parts.

The motor itself would have no movement. It would be in the linkages. My concern is the bushings / rivets that connect everything.

The Recaro seats are different internally. Different suppliers too.

OK. I'll take that as truth for now...You do have one . I honestly wouldn't know. But I am involved with automobile seating.
Things are done a certain way over and over again. Doesn't matter what model or year.

Who wants to take apart their seat? Lol
