My 2017 2SS does it all the time. With our high humidity the AC BLOWS directly to the front windshield and thr hot windshield will always participates moisture on the outside window, it's a safety issue and pain in the ass issue.I shouldn't pay $52000 and have to blow hot air on window to clear it when it's 85 degrees outside! Dealer has no fix and said flat out it's a problem with NO SOLUTION!:

I finally found a support group for this problem... Yeah i find it a major pain in my ass, wonder if some kind deflector can be fabricated to reslove this?

Same issue here, no one wants to touch it. Some are saying it is a blower motor/ need to design a flapper.

This "constant air bleed" that GM states is NORMAL was not ADVERTISED at all as a feature of this vehicle.

Had GM & the dealerships been required to notify customers of this feature & the hazard it presents, many would not have bought this car.

Something needs to be done so that, as an industry standard, manufacturers & dealerships MUST be required to notify customers of this feature.

I was hoping it would be resolved for the 2017 model year. I guess I'll wait another year.

There is no "designed in" constant air bleed. Who at GM said that?

This is the ac mode door not sealing.

There should never be air from defroster vents in A/C mode.

It chills the glass and causes condensation to form on the outside, inhibiting visibility.

Many Camaros do not exhibit this problem, further supporting that it is a quality control issue, not a design defect.



From owners manual-


To change the current mode, select
one or more of the following:

X : Clears the windows of fog or
moisture. Air is directed to the
windshield and side window outlets.

Y : Air is directed to the instrument
panel outlets.

: Air is directed to the floor
outlets.

0 : Clears the windshield of fog or
frost more quickly. Air is only
directed to the windshield and side
window outlets. The air conditioning
may turn on automatically to
remove fog.
