Well I stopped by the dealer to check out my car. They said it had 3 spun bearings and cylinder wall was scored so they're replacing the engine. They said GM has engines readily available and will find out tomorrow how long it will take to get one here...

Those pictures are perfect examples of what warranty work really looks like.

I'm glad you're getting a new engine. Hopefully they order you a new wiring harness too because they're covered in one-time-use fir tree fasteners.

I'd expect to see a bunch of labeled bags of bolts... The magnetic trays with bolts make me really nervous. I sincerely wish you luck.

It's crazy to me that the other engine failure thread on here this week was told they would not replace his engine for the same issue as yours. And you're getting a replacement motor. GM is definitely not consistent with their warranty claims.

Vitesse controller, intake, catch can and GM warrantied the engine. Thankfully u didn't have a tune.

That is awesome but sucks that it happened. She'll be good as new in now time

I'm glad you are getting the new engine, no way putting those pieces back together in that dusty surroundings would work fine for long time...no wonder Rickster1001's engine gave up right after coming out from the shop.
