Iridium Plugs and Rough Idle

Posting this here cause some of the tuners may know:

Anyone hear of iridium plugs causing a rough idle to the point it sounds like it's missing. There are no codes being thrown and YES I did check the gaps and all the plug wires are tight.

Even after 3-4 minutes of warm up, the car seems to stumble all over itself when pulling out of my street.

yes i have seen rough idle and funny miss with no codes, if you put antisieze on plug threads it may be causing a ground issue or lack their of, if you did pull plugs wipe off thrreads and around heads where they seat and see if that takes care of.

If anything they fix rough Idle issues.

Sounds like you may have a cracked plug.

the stock plugs are iridium. and you dont need to post multiple threads of the same thing in various sub forums.

So i'd go with installation error.

And I don't need a lecture on how to post. I was a mod for many years on LS1Tech, but thanks for your response.

Any other modifications that may be affecting your calibration?

Ted.

Hey Ted,

Thanks for asking. Only thing else that was done was a K&N Air Filter. My son bought me the air filter and plugs as a Christmas present and installed them. He put in the air filter first and everything was good and then about 3 weeks later he installed the plugs. He later told me after all these issues that he dropped #8 plug. I have new AC Delco coming in and going to change them all back. Hopefully the cracked plug is all that is wrong.

I would also like to give you a call sometime about SC and tuning on my '17

Thanks

You are welcome.

I will assume a Drop in K&N?, this would have no effect on the calibration on the other hand if a K&N cold air kit your car would be lean.

Feel free to call me 203-753-7223

Ted.
