None, the direct injection can handle up to roughly 575/600 rwhp. We keep them at 550 without meth injection.

Does the factory balancer and front fascia NOT have to be removed on this setup like the Vette kit?

The balancer does not get touched, but the front fascia has to be removed to install the intercooler. It comes off in minutes though, it's very easy to remove.

The first ten kit orders will sell for $4,995!!

Normal price is $5,699 so the savings is fairly significant.

There are a lot more parts in the LS3 kit, hence the higher price. I see you are local to us though, give us a call and I'll see what I can do for you.

Price and in my humble opinion, quality. Break the two kits down piece by piece and you will see what I'm talking about. Not that I think either is a bad choice, just so that's clear.

Do you have to tap into the oil pan or is it a self oiling system?

The Vortech V3 oiling system is all self contained no tap needed.

I was researching the Procharger (P1/D1 StageII) kits before I had the opportunity with ECS and now that I have had some time with the setup here are some of my opinions on advantages that the ECS/Vortech kit vs the Procharger kits for the 6th Gen platform.

1) I like the fact that the ECS/Vortech kit has a secondary drive setup and you don't have to mess with the stock crank pulley making the install a bit less painful. Also its nice to have the Cog drive setup on the supercharger drive side as this shouldn't have any issues driving the V3 headunit to the max if desired with little to no belt slip. Also I like the mounting brackets with this kit and the free room the layout leaves you in front of the engine vs the Procharger setup.

2) As Doug said the price is right for what you are getting and the quality is there no doubt . With the way the regular ECS/Vortech kit comes its configured very much like a Stage II Procharger setup already (Already has a Huge Front Mount IC, Race bypass valve, and etc) so your saving some dough there.

3) From what I have seen thus far I like the IC/Charge piping quality better in the ECS/Vortech kits vs the Procharger kits that seem to have less actual hard piping and more soft material used. Also the ECS/Vortech kit pipes are Aluminum and Procharger uses Mild Steel I believe.

4) Performance ... any of them will max out the stock fuel system easily ... but after upgrading all of that I think any of these kits on full tilt will also push the stock LT1 to its near limits (~750 whp). In order of power potential highest first I would list them as D1 > V3 > P1 (I know the SC specs but Vortech seems to under rate their units when looking at real world results).

5) Sound and appearance ... Both subjective so choose what calls out to you ... personally I like the all blacked out ECS/Vortech kit as its matches the engine bay better IMHO but you can also get this with a Procharger kit options (not a fan of chrome/polished look).

Doug called it a Paxton/ECS kit (title of the thread) and the customer is calling it an ECS/Vortech kit. What kind of supercharger actually comes in the kit?
