So I put in an order for a ZL1 in Dec with my local dealer. I asked for the status Jan 12 and was told the order was accepted but no VIN was produced. I was told they would not take the deposit until a VIN was produced. Jan 18 I was told the car was due to be built in mid Feb. They say there is no order number, only an allocation number - the order number isn't generated until the build begins. Does this sound right?
